Review by hotel critic
As a tea plantation owner from Galle, Sri Lanka, my recent stay at Grand Oriental Hotel was a delightful culinary journey. During my gourmet getaway, I savored the innovative dishes at The Club's private lounge, a true gem for food enthusiasts. The Harbour Room, overlooking the bustling port, served a diverse array of international cuisine, a feast for the senses. I recommend fellow guests to indulge in the local flavors and breathtaking ocean views at the three onsite restaurants. My dining experience also included a visit to the buffet eatery with picturesque harbor vistas and the vibrant Sri Lankan spot with colorful decor; each meal was a culinary exploration of exquisite tastes. The amazingly stocked bar at the Harbour Room catered to our needs all night long, adding a touch of luxury to our evenings.Grand Oriental Hotel not only offers a historical charm but also a gastronomic delight that beckons guests to experience the fusion of local and international flavors amidst a stunning backdrop.
